I drew upon my memories of running alongside the low-tide beach in the early mornings. Expressive brushstrokes are reminiscent of the gentle movement of the ocean's waves. The various shades of blue are similar to the light filtering through the waves just before they crash into themselves. The combination of these elements creates a circular flow throughout the piece.
